Highest honor

Sydney Photographer Warren Gordon was earlier this week awarded the Master of Photographic Arts degree at the 20th Annual Professional Photographers of Canada National Convention in Charlottetown, PEI. Only a handful of photographers in Canada are awarded this degree, the highest attainable award offered by the association.

The degree is achieved through national competition and service to the national profession.Gordon has his own photography business in Sydney and is well-known for his photography books and calendars with Cape Breton and Maritime themes. His latest release is Jewel of the Atlantic: The Story of Mainiand Nova Scotia, put out by Lancelot Press.During his 17 years in the business, Gordon has been exhibited in various areas of Nova Scotia and in Scotland as well. Arrangements are now being made for an upcoming exhibition in New Zealand.
